In the book, there are many tested ideas to facilitate the financial portion of an adoption. In addition to an expanded view of the seminar material, there is a section on ways to maximize savings by reducing expenses.

EXCERPT from the book You Can Afford Adoption: It's true that the total amount of money needed can appear daunting, but don't let it stop you. You can develop a workable, livable plan to reach your ultimate objective on this journey, your child in your loving embrace. Breaking down the process to obtain the money needed for the adoption is the first step. The second step is to determine the approximate dates the funds will be needed. Then you can match a fundraising project with your financial need or goal.

Understand that you will not need to have the entire amount of money for the adoption at the very beginning of the process. You will have time to gather the necessary funds even after you have decided on the agency. For example, the airfare, if you must fly to your child's location, isn't due until you purchase the airline tickets, many months after you have been approved to adopt. After reading Section Two, you will be prepared to implement your plan.
